That’s Logistic’s Update!

Still have yet to get the package

Hope you had a safe 4th of July!

Chad

Happy 4th of July!!!

I would like to take this time,  to thank everyone who has served and or is currently serving the United States.  I would like to thank the armed services,  Coast Guard,  Police and Fire Department’s as well as Skywarn spotter’s and everyone else that makes this great country of ours a safer place to call home.  We sometimes take for granted what we have,  and who we have protecting our rights and civil liberties.  On July 4th 1776 the holiday we know today was started.  It was started after we declared independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain.  We have as a country had our ups and downs from that day forward,  but overall I think we are doing a fair job.  Sure we have issues currently with government but there is nothing wrong with the United States that cannot be fixed with what’s right in the USA!  It’s going to take everyone to help and its going to be hard work.  Lets dust our self’s off roll up our shirt sleeves,  put on our boot’s lace them up and kick some ass!

Happy 4th of July!

Thanks,

Chad

Blueant Bluetooth Review Pushed Back…

As you can read from the previous post,  UPS’s logistics have pushed back the arrival date of the Bluetooth device until the 6th of July.  I would have had the package yesterday if not today,  but their logistics got into the way.  Blue ant stated that they would try and over night out another one,  but with the holiday weekend coming up I think UPS would fly it to New Jersey,  and then close on the 4th.  the original ground shipped item would beat it here knowing UPS’s track record as of late.

Will keep you updated…

Thanks,

Chad

That’s Logistics

Package was shipped,  and on its way to Rantoul, IL.  When the package was not on the ups truck delivery the other morning, I called ups.  They said that I should add a few more days to the shipping time, because my package was on transit to New Jersey,  and then to Rantoul, IL.  They acted like this was no big deal,  they for some reason didn’t think this was odd as I did that a package would be shipped from Indiana to New Jersey and then back through Indiana again to make it to the destination in Rantoul, IL. they said that I should contact the shipper because that was the preferred shipping method that the shipper had requested they used.  I contacted the shipper and they were flabbergasted at what was going on.  So I called UPS back yet again,  spoke to another rep who was equally retarded,  asked for a manager.  I finally got a manager on the phone after a short hold time.  I asked the manager if she could please tell me the logistics’ in shipping a package 10 hours away from Illinois when it was just 2 hours away the day before.  She said I don’t have that information I’m sorry I don’t know,  I don’t know it’s not on my screen.  I then asked well who in your company would be sitting at a desk like yours,  that would be able to look on their screen and find out that information,  she again could not answer. This morning I wake up grab a cup of coffee and decided to check the status again.  I found the above,  that there was from what the status says an incorrect routing at ups facility.  So apparently no one knows what the other hand is doing in a logistical company that advertises logic and logistics’

Next time I get anything shipped I don’t care if I have to pay extra to the shipper but I will request another shipper.  And for those of you that think the United States Postal Service should be privatized and not ran by the USPS,  I say read above again.

Thanks,

Chad

Fruity Loops 9 review

I have used fruity loops for many years,  and have followed and upgraded as often as I could through-out the years.  Fruity loops over the years has become even better.  Sure there is other programs that work well for audio creation,  but most of those programs require Macintosh operating systems to run.  Fruity loops is a great alternative that plays really nice in the windows environment.  I have attached a video of a beat I had made with fruity loops,  the beat I made nowhere comes near to the power and the creativity that can be created from using fruity loops software.

Hope you enjoy…

My Android OS

I’m a giant phone modder,  I like being able to change the rom’s that run on my smart phones.  That is why when looking for cell phones to upgrade into a few years ago I started looking at HTC android devices.  I have been running cyanogenmod a operating system replacement for the htc aria that I own.  cyanogenmod is available for more devices besides the aria,  and its fairly easy to install as long as you follow the steps for the phone you have.  With my aria,  at&t had certain features blocked and turned off that made the phone not as powerful as it could be.  With those blocks and features being choked,  it was still a good phone, but I knew it could be more.  There is a few other rom’s out floating around,  but I have found by far cyanogenmod to be the best hands down.  If you own a android device and need a change for the better,  getting more out of your device,  more functionality and better performance,  take a look at what cyanogenmod can do for your device.  Warning this is not for the light hearted,  the non geeky,  and the people who worry about will this void my warrenty.  This is for the geeks who live it proudly,  the choosen one’s that are not affraid of possibliy making a paper weight out of their beloved cell phones.  Accident’s can happen,  and things can go wrong if you don’t understand the instructions,  or don’t follow them correctly.  But if you can follow directions and are able to install and load cyanogenmod on your android,  I think you’ll love it!  But,  If something goes wrong don’t blame for giving you the idea to do this,  you will take all responcibilty if you break your girlfriends phone,  and have to sleep on the couch for a week.

Be careful and read instructions and get geeky again with the android os

Windows 8 the inside scoup

Windows 8 launch is just around the corner,  we here at chads stuff have seen the demonstrations on how the new windows will look and feel.   The biggest change to the Microsoft operating system, is when the computer starts into windows.  They have a start portal looking thing going on now,  kind of resembled the tiles feature on a windows phone.  It shows live tiles on your computer screen,  and is really geared towards a touch screen application.  You can still manage the tiles with a standard keyboard and mouse, but according to Microsoft design the true experience is with a touch screen monitor.   The main reason I feel Microsoft has built windows 8 into having a live tiled start,  Is they are trying to get into the tablet scene,  windows 8 would work great on a touch screen tablet from the looks of the demonstrations we have seen.  I wouldn’t be surprised  seeing windows tablets hitting the market soon,  rolled out about the same time windows 8 hits the scene.  I don’t know if I like the new tiled windows start up portal logic.  You can still after booting into the portal turn it off,  or put it into background task and have the regular windows operating system.  It’s something we here at chads stuff are constantly watching and checking in on the development from time to time,  until we get our hands on the beta and play around with it,  I’m saying that I don’t like the start up live tiles portal.  But who knows it could be really good,  in tablet applications I feel it would be great.  But on my home office pc maybe not so much.  Let me know what you think…

Door to Door Teenagers selling magazines

door to door magazine sales,  apparently lately this summer we have seen a rise in door to door magazine sales by young teenagers.  According to the research I have done on this,  it’s a scam.  It’s a scam as in you’ll never see the magazines you order,  and it’s a scam as in the children hired by the companies never get the trip to Italy they say they are in competition for.  It also gets worse than that apparently,  at night when they get hotel rooms they cram everyone in,  and the ones with lowest sales are forced to sleep on the floor.  There has been instances I read about involving sexual molestation,  and other torture.  In other articles I have read during research,  if a teenager doesn’t make the quota they are faced off with other kids in actual fights.  I feel sorry for these teenager’s they should not be treated in this way.  That is why I am writing this,  after we had one of these teenager’s come trying to sell his magazines,  I decided to do some research and found the shocking information above.  I contacted my local police department office and was told that they knew about the scam and they could just never catch up to these crews as they moved around the area.  I told them when I last seen the teenager and which way he was heading,  they are out now looking for this crew.  I hope they find out that everything is legit,  in case it’s not hopefully these kids don’t have to do this any longer.

Just thought I would share this with my viewer’s.  It is advised if you have a teenager come to your door trying to sell magazine subscriptions to call your local law enforcement office.  In one article I read,  the police investigated and found teenager’s tied up in the van.  If your teenager wants to do a program like this I would not let them do it.
